As of January 1, 2022, there will be a new electronic invoicing scheme with the objective of strengthening the technological tools to facilitate compliance with tax regulations.
Looking at it from the taxpayer’s point of view, a more complete report can be made to SAT on the information contained in the CFDI in order to receive better services, as well as the possibility of speeding up the filing of returns with pre-filled information.
For the authority, the quality of the information received by the SAT is increased according to the CFDIs issued, as well as the information received in the auditing areas is used to the maximum.

The electronic invoice with a complementary Carte Porte Letter went into effect on January 1, 2022. However, due to a gradual process of incorporation by some users, the Tax Administration Service (SAT) informs that the transition period to issue it without penalties will be extended until September 30, 2022.
In the meantime, the SAT thanks the more than 57 thousand taxpayers that to date are already issuing their electronic invoices with the complement of the Carta Porte, which consists of the digitalization of the information related to the transfer of goods and merchandise throughout the national territory, in any mode of transportation.
In order to facilitate electronic invoicing with the Carta Porte complement without hiring third parties, as of January 1, 2022 the SAT made available to taxpayers free of charge the tools for electronic invoicing at the following addresses:
